Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, which will be released this month, is an out-of-the-box business management solution that includes more than 100 new features spanning the full range of enterprise resource planning (ERP) functions.

Availability of the new connector will enable customers using the March ’07 upgrade of AvaTax to easily upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0. Built to meet the sales tax compliance needs of Avalara’s core business clients – SMB businesses that conduct business across taxing jurisdiction boundaries, the March ’07 upgraded release delivers new reports, allowing users to reduce the time it takes to gather, consolidate and report on tax data, as well as saving time required to both set-up and manage the system. New and enhanced reporting capabilities include a new document line detail report, a new transaction tab for deeper visibility into document status, enhancements to tools tabs and new administrative reports.

In addition, the AvaTax Connector for Microsoft Dynamics GP includes usability enhancements for tighter alignment with the interface standards in Microsoft Dynamics GP, user-by-user parameter set-up functionality for more administrative control, entity use code functionality to accommodate non-taxable customers and set-up of specific tax codes for shipping methods, which offers greater flexibility in mapping shipping codes to shipping methods.
