SysIQ makes AvaTax available to IBM WebSphere Commerce customers
Bainbridge Island, WA – September 4, 2013 – Avalara (www.Avalara.com), the market leading provider of sales tax and compliance automation services in the cloud, today announced that SysIQ (www.sysiq.com), a leading global ecommerce solutions provider, has joined Avalara’s growing list of certified solution partners. Avalara’s solution partners are software publishers that integrate Avalara’s software as a service (SaaS) offering for sales tax management directly into their own applications.
As a result of this partnership, customers can now use AvaTax’s capabilities from within the WebSphere Commerce Version 7 checkout flow to validate addresses and automatically calculate the final sales tax amount on every invoice. This eliminates the tedious work and complexity of cleaning address files and calculating taxes across multiple jurisdictions and helps businesses focus on their core offering.
“We’re always focused on helping our clients manage their businesses more efficiently,” said Jerry Lewis, Vice President, IBM Smarter Commerce Practice at SysIQ. “Our integration with Avalara will allow WebSphere Commerce customers to easily integrate this extended solution and remain up-to-date on increasingly complicated tax regulations.”
Pascal Van Dooren, EVP of sales and marketing at Avalara agrees. “This strategic partnership allows Avalara to provide its industry leading compliance solutions to WebSphere Commerce customers in a fast, easy and affordable way. In today’s electronic world it just doesn’t make sense to manually manage sales tax. We’re pleased to welcome SysIQ into our ever-expanding community.”
