Avalara is returning to Atlanta for a fun A-List event on October 12th. A-List events deliver user-inspired content, training, and networking opportunities for customers across the country. Attendees will meet with subject matter experts on Avalara products, services, and tax compliance, and enjoy VIP tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s Luzia.
Seating is limited for this event. First-come, first-serve. We will create a waiting list for those who are not able to register. Tony Buffkin leads the sales and use tax practice for DHG. He has more than 30 years of multi-state consulting and tax experience and works closely with many of DHG’s largest clients providing consulting and guidance including audit defense and controversy, streamlining compliance processes and providing strategic tax planning. Tony has extensive experience with Tax Technology, Sales Tax Compliance, Nexus Reviews & Voluntary Disclosure, Refund Analysis and Recovery, Audit Preparation and Defense, Tax Planning, Taxability Studies, Process Analysis and Improvement, and Voluntary Disclosure Agreement Negotiation.
Tommy Varnell is a Senior Manager in DHG’s Atlanta office, specializing in State and Local Tax (SALT) matters. Tommy primarily focuses on indirect tax and unclaimed property matters, but his versatile background allows him to get involved in other areas as well. Tommy has 15 years of tax experience, with a blend of both consulting and industry. He has been involved with a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, service, retail, transportation, healthcare, telecommunications and technology.
