Avalara is returning to Phoenix for a fun A-List event on November 8th. A-List events deliver user-inspired content, training, and networking opportunities for customers across the country. Attendees will meet with subject matter experts on Avalara products, services, and tax compliance, followed by a VIP suite experience watching the Phoenix Suns take on the Miami Heat.

Kushal Thakore
Kushal Thakore, Director, Tax Technology, DMA

Kushal has more than 14 years of experience working with various transaction tax software packages, along with over 10 years of software development experience. He has assisted numerous clients in implementing DMA’s software utilities, configuring transaction tax applications, and integrating transaction tax applications with various ERP systems, with a specific focus on SAP. Prior to joining DMA, Kushal was a Senior Software Developer with TaxAutomation, Inc., which was purchased by DMA in 2005 as part of a company initiative to become a provider of state and local tax solutions. While at TaxAutomation, Inc., Kushal helped design and implement tools and utilities for Taxware’s Sales and Use Tax application. He was also a lead developer of an Exemption Certificate Management System for the Vertex Q Series.

Ryan Kennedy
Ryan Kennedy, Tax Manager, Sales/Use Tax, DMA

Ryan has a wide variety of experience in both the public accounting and private sector. He has worked with diverse industries in multiple states. Prior to joining DMA, Ryan worked for an internationally recognized consulting firm in their property tax division. He also spent three years in public accounting, specializing in federal tax compliance and tax consulting for high net worth individuals. After finishing law school, Ryan worked for a large private equity group specializing in historic tax credits and new market tax credits.
