Rest easy and enjoy peace of mind with our worry-free guarantee — if we make a mistake, we’ll fix it at no cost to you. For as long as you are a customer of Avalara MyLodgeTax, if you suffer a negative audit finding and financial loss because our service provided an inaccurate rate, or caused a late lodging tax return filing or payment, we will file any required tax return forms and pay your uncollected tax and/or any penalty and interest up to a maximum value of $10,000, whichever is lower.*

*If you have a negative audit finding and financial loss related to an inaccurate or late/missing lodging tax return filing or payment provided by our service, we will file any required tax return forms and pay your uncollected tax and any penalty and interest up to a maximum value of $10,000, whichever is lower, provided that you have:

(1) properly set up and configured your property(ies) in the MyLodgeTax system; (2) notified Avalara of a documented audit finding within 10 days of your first knowledge of such finding; (3) assisted Avalara in confirming the occurrence of the error, including providing Avalara with access to your logs, reports and other records; (4) assisted Avalara in challenging the taxing authority determinations if Avalara determines them to be incorrect; (5) You cooperate in mitigating your losses after the negative audit finding; and you collaborate with Avalara to rebill your guest for the uncollected tax.

This guarantee only applies to lodging tax rate calculations and tax return filing and payment service provided by Avalara MyLodgeTax after October 15, 2015.
