Georgia to vote on Transportation Sales Tax

Georgia's Governor Nathan Deal has called the state legislature into a special session to deal with redistricting proposals -- a topic that will be sure to be of interest to individual legislators. But that's not the only issue they may deal with this summer:
Another topic is the date of next year’s referendum on a 1-percent sales tax for transportation projects. Deal wants to change it from the summer primary to the November general election to increase voter participation. —Augusta Chronicle
