Arkansas Town Approves Sales Tax Increase

Batesville, Arkansas residents have approved a one-cent sales tax increase. The money is intended to be “…split between Batesville’s Fire and Police Departments, as well as the Parks and Recreation Department. The money will help pay for street repairs and the construction of new recreational facilities, among other things.”
