Colorado Consumer Use Tax Due April

Colorado wants to remind their residents that making purchases over the Internet, by mail order or by telephone where no sales tax is charged, means there is a use tax obligation.

The Colorado Consumer Use Tax rate is 2.9%. Use taxes are due the same date as your Federal Income Taxes are due—April 15th, or if the day falls on a weekend, then the first Monday after that, which this year, is April 16, 2012.
