Wyoming Qwest Sales Tax Refund Decision
- May 3, 2012 | Susan McLain

The Wyoming Board of Equalization has issued a notice to all taxpayers that “Pursuant to the decision of the Wyoming Supreme Court in Wyoming Department of Revenue v. Qwest Corporation, 2011 WY 146, 263 P3d 622, (Wyo. 2011), Qwest Corporation is required to issue a refund of sales tax it collected from customers.”
Qwest was recently purchased by Century Link, who is now “…implementing a refund plan which includes providing notice to current customers, as as those who were customers from February 2003 through 2004.”
If you are an individual or business who was a Qwest customer during that time period and believe you may be entitled to a refund, the Board recommends that you call 1-877-417-3970 to find out more.
