 Missouri Local Sales Tax Rate Changes July 2012

Missouri Sales Tax Rate Changes effective July 1, 2012 are as follows:

Barry County Changes

Increased emergency services sales tax from one-quarter percent to three-eighths percent. Combined sales tax rates throughout the county range from 5.6% in Arrow Point to 7.85% in Seligman.

Greene County Changes

Decreased the storm water/local parks sales tax from one-quarter percent to one-eighth percent. Combined sales tax rates throughout the county range from 5.35% in Bols D’Arc to 10.725% in Springfield.

Willard City – Imposed new sales tax of one-half percent for capital improvements. Willard sales tax rate is 7.85%.

Butler City – Decreased sales tax by one-eighth percent. Existing fire protection sales tax expiration. Butler rate is now 7.225%.

Nevada City – Extended the public mass transportation sales tax of one-half percent. Nevada sales tax rate continues to be 7.725%.

Noel City – Increased sales tax by one-quarter percent by imposing a fire protection sales tax. Noel sales tax rate is 8.35%.

Bear Creek CID – Increased sales tax by one-half percent in the district. The district includes a portion of the city of Wentzville and no unincorporated areas. Wentzville sales tax rate is 8.95%.

High Ridge Commons CID – Increased sales tax by one percent.

Independence Events Center CID – Increased sales tax from one-half percent to three-quarters percent. Independence Independence districts includes a portion of the city, Jackson county, and no unincorporated areas. The district is also partially overlapped by the 39th Street TDD. Depending on your location the sales tax is either 8.475% or 8.6%.

North County Festival Square CID – Increased sales tax by one percent. The district includes a portion of Ferguson. The sales tax rate in Ferguson is 9.425%.

Old Foundation CID – Increased sales tax by one percent. Portions of Kansas City have a sales tax rate of 8.975%.

Twin City Mall CID – Increased sales tax by one percent.

Y Highway Market Place CID – Increased sales tax by one percent.

212 S. Grand TDD – Increased sales tax by one percent. Portions of St. Louis now have a sales tax rate of 9.491%.

Cheshire TDD – Increased sales tax by one percent. Portions of St. Louis have a sales tax rate of 10.491% and portions of Richmond Heights have a sales tax rate of 10.425%.

City Hospital Powerhouse TDD – Increased sales tax by one percent. Portions of St. Louis have a sales tax rate of 10.491%.

Stardust-Munger-Diamond TDD – Decreased sales tax by five-eighths percent by rescinding the district sales tax. Portions of Hannibal have a sales tax rate of 8.6%.
