Nebraska Sales Tax Rate Changes October 2012


The Nebraska Department of Revenue reports that several Nebraska cities will impose a city sales tax, effective October 1, 2012. 

These cities will impose a 1 percent sales tax on October 1, 2012:

  • Bancroft
  • Grant
  • Linwood
  • Shelton

These cities will impose a 1.5 percent sales tax starting October 1, 2012:

  • Beemer
  • Marquette
  • Wisner

These cities will increase their sales tax to 1.5 percent on October 1, 2012:

  • O'Neill
  • West Point

In addition, Aurora, Nebraska will terminate its 1 percent sales tax on October 1, 2012.
