Arizona Local Sales Tax Rate Changes August 2012

The following local area sales (transaction privilege) tax rate changes in Arizona are effective August 1, 2012:

Camp Verde

Camp Verde Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) increases from 2.0% to 3.0%.


“On June 12, 2012, the Glendale City Council passed an increase in the city’s sales tax rate by 0.7% and an additional bed tax increase of 1.6%.” Previously 2.2%, the new Glendale city sales and use tax rate is 2.9%.

In addition, the city amended the tax code to allow for a two-level tax structure on items over $5,000. Any single item costing over $5,000 will be taxed a the lower 2.2% rate.
