Michigan Streamlined Sale Tax Recertification

  • Aug 1, 2012 | Susan McLain

Michigan has been a full member of the Streamlined Sales Tax since October 1, 2005.

As a member state, Michigan is required to provide re-certification information each year. In a letter dated July 31, 2012, Michigan certified that it “…is in substantial compliance with the terms of the Agreement, except with respect to the taxation of one-way paging.”

The state is expected to address the one-way paging non-compliance when the Michigan Legislature returns to session in September.

Michigan State Treasurer, Andy Dillon, also submitted the state’s current Taxability Matrix and Certificate of Compliance.
