Wisconsin Taxability Matrix Updated

  • Aug 1, 2012 | Susan McLain

Wisconsin State has updated their Taxability Matrix to “…reflect the Wisconsin laws enacted through June 30, 2012,” as part of their re-certification for Streamlined Sales Tax.

The State modified their tax laws to accommodate “…due dates of payments that fall on a day the Federal Reserve is closed.” These changes become effective September 1, 2012.

In addition, the certification letter noted that a “…change that was made to the Agreement during 2011 related to the definition of ‘prepaid wireless calling services,’” requires a change to Wisconsin laws to comply. Wisconsin has until January 2014 to modify existing laws to accommodate the prepaid wireless calling services tax rules.
