Kentucky: Statement of Emergency To Aid Tax Amnesty

  • Oct 4, 2012 | Gail Cole

The Kentucky Tax Amnesty program has begun.

Anyone who owes Kentucky back taxes, interest, and penalties from the tax periods ending after December 2, 2001 and prior to October 1, 2011 are eligible to apply for tax amnesty now through November 30, 2012.

In an effort to help Kentucky taxpayers successfully apply for tax amnesty, the state issued a Statement of Emergency 103 KAR 3:060E on September 27, 2012. This emergency administration regulation will help "provide Kentucky taxpayers the form necessary to apply for tax amnesty."

The Kentucky Tax Amnesty Application must be completed in full and submitted on or before November 30, 2012.
