Florida: Relief Available for Victims of Sandy

The Florida Department of Revenue has announced that it will work with taxpayers affected by Hurricane Sandy to the extent allowed by Florida law. Florida is not making a general tax filing or payment extension, as many states have done, but it will work with individuals on a case by case basis.

Any taxpayer impacted by Hurricane Sandy who receives a penalty notice from the Florida Department of Revenue should call the number on the notice to discuss their individual situation.
