Florida New Tax Rates on Communications Services in 2013

The Florida Department of Revenue has announced changes to local communications services tax rates (CST). The new rates will take effect for "all bills issued on or after January 1, 2013, regardless of the date that the service is rendered or transacted."
"The local tax rate for CST includes both the local rate and the discretionary sales surtax," pursuant to the relevant CST statute and the discretionary sales surtax under the sales and use tax statute.
The following jurisdictions have a rate change stemming from a local ordinance:
