Nebraska Sales Tax Rate Changes July 2013


 Nebraska Announces Sales Tax Rate Changes for July 2013.

The Department of Revenue has announced local sales and use tax rate changes, effective July 2013.

The city of Platte Center will impose a local sales and use tax of 1.5%. The new total rate of state and local tax will be 7%.

The city of Sidney will increase its local sales and use tax to 2%. The new total rate of state and local tax will be 7.5%.

Numerous boundary changes have also been released. The following cities will experience boundary changes, effective July 2013:

  • Beatrice
  • Bellevue
  • Bridgeport
  • David City
  • Hastings
  • Kearney
  • Lincoln
  • North Platte
  • Ord
  • Plattsmouth
  • Schuyler
