New Sales Tax in Charleston, West Virginia, October 2013


Effective October 1, 2013, the city of Charleston, West Virginia will impose a 0.5% Municipal Sales & Service and Use Tax on sales of tangible personal property. The West Virginia Tax Department notes that all state tax exemptions and exceptions apply to the new tax.
