New Sales Tax Rate for Broken Bow, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently sent out this notice regarding the new sales and use tax rate for Broken Bow.

Tra la, it's May Day. A day to celebrate spring and dance around maypoles. A day to protest unfair labor practices and the political practice du jour. And in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, it's a day that marks a sales tax decrease.

The new local sales and use tax rate for Broken Bow, effective May 1, is 2.375% (down from 2.5%).

The new rate is not 2.35%, as the people who received mailings from the Oklahoma Tax Commissioner in mid-April first thought. That first mailing from the Oklahoma Tax Commission was erroneous.

A recent notice sent out by the Oklahoma Tax Commission (picture above) corrects that error and lists the new rate as 2.375%. The correct rate has been listed on the tax commission's website all along.
