Arkansas Statewide Sales Tax Rate Change, July 2013

Arkansas has increased its state sales and use tax rate. Effective July 1, 2013, the rate is 6.5%, up from 6%.
The rate of sales tax for food is considerably reduced, at 1.5%. There is no change to this rate.
The reduced rate of sales and use tax for manufacturing utilities is increasing to 3.25%.
The reduced rate of sales and use tax for electricity manufacturing is increasing to 4.75%
