Connecticut: Pay Your Taxes or Risk Your Business

Not paying taxes in Connecticut is a gamble.

According to the Department of Revenue Services (DRS), businesses that don't pay their taxes will not be able to renew their seller's permits.

Under new legislation, which took effect July 1, 2013,  the DRS "will not issue or renew a license or seller's permit until the applicant pays the taxes or makes an arrangement with DRS to pay the taxes."

This applies to any and all taxes owed to the state, including sales tax.

Automation can help keep you in business.
