Oklahoma Sales Tax Rate Changes, August and October 2013

Update, 7.25.13: The Oklahoma Tax Commission has updated information regarding the sales tax decrease for Broken Bow. Previously set to take effect on August 1, 2013, it is now scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2013 (like McCurtain and Sallisaw).

Update, 8.6.13: Notices of the error are at last being mailed to business owners.

Sales Tax Decrease

Effective August 1, 2013, the new sales and use tax rate in the City of Broken Bow will be 2.25%. The current rate is 2.375%.

Sales Tax Increase

Effective October 1, 2013, the new rate of sales tax in McCurtain will be 3.5%. The current rate is 2.5%.

Effective October 1, 2013, new new rate of sales and use tax in Sallisaw will be 4%. The current rate is 3.5%.
