Georgia: Pierce County Sales Tax Rate Change, October 2013

The Department of Revenue has announced an upcoming local rate change.

Effective October 1, 2013, Pierce County will discontinue its 1% special purpose sales and use tax. That will decrease the local sales tax rate from 3% to 2%, bringing the total rate of sales tax down from 7% to 6%.
