Sales Tax Rate Increase for Erie County, Ohio, October 2013


 Erie County, Ohio, to increase its sales and use tax rate, October 1, 2013.

The Department of Taxation has announced a sales and use tax rate change for Erie County. Effective October 1, 2013, Erie County’s combined state and local tax rate will be 7.25%. The current combined rate is 6.75%.

That new rate also reflects the state sales and use tax rate increase scheduled to take effect on September 1 of this year. The state rate is increasing by 0.25%, from 5.5% to 5.75%.
