October 2013 Rate Change Reminder

 Maine and the District of Columbia rate changes take effect October 1, 2013.

Both Maine and the District of Columbia have new rates, effective today.

In the nation's capital, the general sales tax rate has decreased from 6% to 5.75%.

In the northeast corner of the country, the Maine state rate has increased from 5% to 5.5%.
