New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax Changes, January 2014

The Taxation and Revenue Department has released the Gross Receipts Tax Rate Schedule for the period January through June, 2014. It reveals several rate changes.
The gross receipts tax in Quay County is decreasing:
- House: from 7.7500% to 7.6250%;
- Logan: from 8.1250% to 8.0000%;
- San Jon: from 8.1250% to 8.0000%;
- Tucumcari: from 8.1250% to 8.0000%; and
- Remainder of the County: from 6.4375% to 6.3125%.
Two new jurisdictions are being added to Rio Arriba County:
- Pueblo de San Ildefonso (location code 17-9750): 6.5000%; and
- Pueblo de San Ildefonso (location code 17-9776): 6.5000%.
The rates in Roosevelt County are increasing:
- Causey: from 6.6875% to 6.7500%;
- Dora: from 6.9375% to 7.000%;
- Elida: from 7.5625% to 7.6250%
- Floyd: from 6.6875 to 6.7500%;
- Portales: from 7.7500% to 7.8125%; and
- Remainder of the County: from 6.1875% to 6.2500%
There are several changes in Sandoval County:
- Corrales: the rate is increasing from 7.1875% to 7.5625%;
- Pueblo de San Ildefonso (location code 29-975) is being added: 6.2500%;
- Pueblo de San Ildefonso (location code 29-976) is being added: 6.2500%; and
- Stonegate Communities TIDD (location code 29-038) is being added: 7.4375%.
The rates in San Juan County are increasing:
- Aztec: from 7.7500% to 7.8125%;
- Bloomfield: from 7.6875% to 7.7500%;
- Farmington: from 7.1250% to 7.1875%;
- Valley Water and Sanitation District: from 6.5625% to 6.6250%; and
- Remainder of the County: from 6.3125% to 6.3750%.
There are two new jurisdictions in Santa Fe County:
- Pueblo de San Ildefonso (location code 01-975): 6.8750%; and
- Pueblo de San Ildefonso (location code 01-976): 6.8750%.
There is a rate increase in Union County:
- Des Moines: from 7.5000% to 7.7500%.
There is a rate increase in Valencia County:
- Rio Communities: from 6.0000% to 6.3750%.
