Colorado Discontinues Sales Tax Coupon Booklets

... of sales tax coupon booklets in Colorado.

As of January 1, 2014, the Colorado Department of Revenue is discontinuing the use of sales tax coupon booklets, “due to cost and processing changes.”

This change will be most apparent to businesses with a single location who have been filing sales tax for more than one year and who have been receiving sales tax coupon booklets.

The new DR 0100 paper forms now have a new size and layout.

  • Single location monthly filers will receive a mailing with six DR 0100 forms and one instruction page.
  • Single location quarterly filers will receive a mailing with two DR 0100 forms and one instruction page.

Businesses in Colorado are encouraged to make “sales tax filing easier” by switching to electronic filing.

Another way to simplify sales tax is to switch to an automated sales tax solution.
