Oklahoma: Local Sales Tax Rate Changes, April 2014


 Local rate changes in Oklahoma, April 2014.

Several new sales and use tax rates have been announced for localities in Oklahoma.

Effective  April 1, 2014:

  • City of Locust Grove: the sales and use tax rate will increase from 4.0% to 4.5%;
  • City of Lexington: the sales and use tax rate will increase from 3.5% to 4%;
  • City of Antlers: the sales and use tax rate will increase from 3% to 3.5%; and
  • City of Welch: there will be a new 2% use tax; and

Sales tax for the Town of Picher, which is no longer being collected, may be submitted until March 31, 2014. On April 1, it will not be possible to submit sales and use taxes for the Picher.
