Window to Participate in Alabama 2014 February 2014 Sales Tax Holiday Is Now Closed


 Severe weather happens. Alabama wants residents to be prepared.

As East Coasters covered by snow well realize, severe weather happens. There’s not much to be done about it, other than to be prepared.

To encourage preparedness, Alabama Department of Revenue of their intention to participate. Any localities that have not done so are now assumed to be not participating.

Numerous localities did contact the Department of Revenue before the notification window closed yesterday. Some to report they will participate in 2014 alone, some to report they will participate in 2014 and subsequent years, and some to report they will not participate.
