Georgia: Additional Rate Changes Announced for April 2014


 Pierce County, Georgia, to have a sales tax rate increase, April 2014.

The Georgia Department of Revenue has updated its list of April 2014 sales tax rate changes.

In addition to the previously announced changes in Floyd County, Haversham County, and Twiggs County, there will also be the following changes:

  • Pierce County will impose a 1% special purpose tax, bringing the sales and use tax rate to 7%.
  • Rockdale County will impose a 1% special tax for education, bringing the sales and use tax rate to 7%.

Georgia April 2014 rate changes are posted on the Department of Revenue website.
