Michigan Extends Exemption for Qualified Convention Facilities


 Michigan extends sales tax exemption for products used to construct qualifying convention facilities.

The sunset date for a Michigan law allowing and exemption from sales tax for property used in the construction and renovation of qualified convention facilities has been extended.

The exemption was set to expire January 1, 2014. Senate Bill 711 extends the exemption until January 1, 2016.
