Kauai County, Hawaii, Fuel Tax Rate Change

The Hawaii Department of Taxation has announced an upcoming Kauai County fuel tax rate change, effective July 1, 2014.
The fuel tax rate for diesel, gasoline and liquid fuel sold or used by a distributor will jump from 15 cents per gallon to 17 cents per gallon.
Kauai County fuel tax rates for compressed natural gas (CNG), ethanol, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquid petroleum gas (LPG), and methanol will also increase.
The new rates also apply to stock purchased by distributors prior to July 1, 2014, but sold or used on or after that date.
