Nebraska Sales Tax Rate Changes, October 2014


 Fall 2014 will bring local sales tax rate changes in Nebraska.

Several local Nebraska Department of Revenue, effective October 1, 2014. There are new rates and rate increases, but as of this writing, no sales tax decreases scheduled.

New local sales and use tax rates

  • Fairfield will impose a 1% sales and use tax; and
  • Hickman will impose a 1.5% sales and use tax.

Local sales and use tax rate changes

  • Atkinson will raise the sales and use tax rate to 1.5%; and
  • LaVista will raise the sales and use tax rate to 2%.

According to the Department of Revenue website, there are no sales tax rate changes taking effect in the second or third quarter of 2014.
