New Sales Tax for St. Albans Town, Vermont, July 2014

Beginning July 1, 2014, St. Albans Town, Vermont, will impose a 1% local option tax on all sales transactions.

Local option sales taxes are in addition to the Vermont state sales tax rates:

  • 6% on general sales;
  • 9% on on meals and rooms; and
  • 10% on alcoholic beverages.

11 Vermont municipalities currently have local option sales taxes in place.
