Indiana: Electronic Filing Required

  • Jul 18, 2014 | Gail Cole

It's good there's another way to file sales tax returns.

The Indiana Department of Revenue has issued a notice reminding taxpayers that many Indiana tax returns must be filed and paid electronically.

Electronic filing is required for the following:

  • Alcoholic beverage tax returns
  • Cigarette tax returns
  • Consolidated special fuel monthly tax returns (SF-900)
  • Gasoline distributor’s consolidated monthly tax returns (MF-360)
  • Gasoline use tax return (GT-103)
  • Indiana metered pump sales and use tax return (ST-103MP)
  • Motor carrier fuel tax/IFTA returns
  • Other tobacco products tax (OTP-M)
  • Prepaid 911 enhancement fee (WPC-103)
  • Sales and use tax voucher (ST-103)
  • Terminal operator’s monthly return (FT-501)
  • Transporter’s monthly tax return (SF-401)
  • Type II gaming (TTB-103)
  • Withholding tax annual recap (WH-3)
  • Withholding tax voucher (WH-1)

One option for e-filing is the department’s online filing program, INtax. Vendors certified by the department may also be used.
