Minnesota Local Sales Tax Rate Change, October 2014

 October rate change coming to Douglas County, MN.

Douglas County, Minnesota, will impose a 0.5% transit sales and use tax, effective October 1, 2014. It will apply to all taxable retail sales made within Douglas County, except to sales of motor vehicles registered for road use.

Revenue generated by the new tax will fund road improvements identified in the Douglas County Highway Improvement Plan (April 2014).
