California Lumber Tax Updated

California: does the 1% special tax apply to this lumber?

California State Board of Equalization (BOE) revised its publication on the tax to provide additional guidance.

The Board of Forestry and Fire Protection (BOF) determines which lumber and engineered wood products are subject to the tax. It is required to annually update the regulations pertaining to lumber products and to annually identify products that are subject to the tax. The Assessment Table in the revised BOE publication reflects the BOF’s updated lists, which feature a number of new products.
