Much clothing and footwear is exempt for one week in Maryland.

A week of tax-free shopping begins in Maryland on Sunday, August 10, 2014. During the Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week, qualifying clothing and footwear costing $100 or less per item (or pair) are exempt from state and local sales tax. Maryland’s tax-free period concludes Saturday, August 16.

Additional information, including Tax-Free-Week FAQs, is available on the Maryland Comptroller website.
