A new transportation excise tax of 0.3% takes effect on January 1, 2015, in Coconino County, Arizona.

The addition of the transportation excise tax raises the rate to 6.9% for the following transactions:

  • Amusements
  • Communications
  • Job printing
  • Pipelines
  • Prime contracting
  • Private Railcar
  • Publishing
  • Rentals of personal property
  • Restaurant and bar
  • Retail
  • Transient lodging (hotel/motel)
  • Transporting
  • Utilities

Other rates

  • Commercial lease: 0.3%
  • Jet fuel excise tax: 3.69 cents
  • Non metal mining: 40.5%
  • Use tax: 5.6%
  • Use tax inventory: 5.6%
  • Use tax-utilities: 5.9%
