Arkansas Sales Tax Rate Changes, April 2015

Although Arkansas Department of Taxation and Finance has announced numerous new rates for April 2015.

Local rate changes:

  • Barling, in Sebastian County, is increasing the rate to 2%.
  • Cherry Valley, in Cross County, is enacting a new 1% sales tax.
  • Dermott, in Chicot, is dropping the rate to 2%.
  • Evening Shade, in Sharp County, is enacting a new 1% sales tax.
  • Gentry, in Benton County, is being annexed and has a rate of 1.125%.
  • Higginson, in White County, is enacting a new 1% sales tax.
  • Lead Hill, in Boone County, is enacting a new 1% sales tax.
  • Lockesburg, in Sevier County, is enacting a new 0.75% sales tax.
  • Ward, in Lonoke County, is increasing the rate to 2%.
  • Wilmot, in Ashley County, is enacting a new 1% tax.
  • Mississippi County is increasing sales and use tax to 2.5%.
