California Fuel Tax Rate Change, July 2015

 Fuel tax rate changes take effect in California, July 2015.

The California State Board of Equalization has posted fuel tax rates, effective July 1, 2015. A forthcoming gas tax decrease was announced previously.

According to the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and the CA Interstate Diesel Fuel Tax (DI) Program, rates for the period July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016 are as follows:

  • Diesel: $0.13 (up from $0.11)
  • Component b: $0.320 (down from $0.337)
  • Rate per gallon: $0.450 (up from $0.447)
