 San Luis Obispo to have a new sales tax rate, April 2015.

Citywide district tax changes

  • City of Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County: from 7.5% to 8%
  • City of Benicia, Solano County: from 7.625% to 8.625%
  • City of Coachella, Riverside County: from8% to 9%
  • City of El Cerrito, Contra Costa County: from 9.5% to 10%
  • City of Guadalupe, Santa Barbara County: from 8% to 8.25%
  • Town of Paradise, Butte County: from 7.5% to 8%
  • City of Pinole, Contra Costa County: from 9% to 9.5%
  • City of Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County: from 8% to 8.5%
  • City of Red Bluff, Tehama County: from7.5% to 7.75%
  • City of Richmond, Contra Costa County: from 9% to 9.5%
  • City of Sausalito, Marin County: from 8.5% to 9%
  • City of Stanton, Orange County: from 8% to 9%

Countywide district tax changes

  • Alameda County: from 9% to 9.5% (applies to all unincorporated areas and the cities of Alameda, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont and Pleasanton)
    • City of Albany: from 9.5% to 10%
    • City of Hayward: from 9.5% to 10%
    • City of San Leandro: from 9.25% to 10%
    • City of Union City: from 9.5% to 10%
  • Del Norte County: (applies to the entire county and Crescent City) 7.5% to 7.75%
  • Humboldt County: (applies to all unincorporated areas and cities of Fortuna, Ferndale, Blue Lake and Trinidad) 7.5% to 8%
    • City of Arcata: 8.25% to 8.75%
    • City of Eureka: 8.25% to 8.75%
    • City of Rio Dell: 7.5% to 9%
    • City of Trinidad: 8.25% to 8.75%
  • Monterey County: (applies to unincorporated areas only) 7.5% to 7.625%
    • City of Carmel-by-the Sea: 8.5% to 8.625%
    • City of Del Rey Oaks: 8.5% to 9.125%
    • City of Gonzales: 7.5% to 8.125%
    • City of Greenfield: 8.5% to 8.625%
    • City of King City: 7.5% to 8.125%
    • City of Marina: 8.5% to 8.625%
    • City of Monterey: 7.5% to 8.625%
    • City of Pacific Grove: 8.5% to 8.625%
    • City of Salinas: 8.5% to 9.125%
    • City of Sand City: 8% to 8.625%
    • City of Seaside: 8.5% to 8.625%
    • City of Soledad: 8.5% to 8.625%

Current district taxes extended

  • Fresno County: 8.225% rate extended to 3.31.2025
  • City of Concord, Contra Costa County: 9% rate extended to 3.31.2025
  • City of National City, San Diego County: 9% rate extended to 9.30.2036
  • City of Oakdale, Stanislaus County: 8.125% rate extended to 3.31.2020
  • City of Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo County: 8% rate extended to 3.31.2027
  • City of San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County: 8% rate extended to 3.31.2023
  • City of Ukiah, Mendocino County, 8.125% rate extended indefinitely

Current district taxes ending

The 9% rate in the City of El Cajon, in San Diego County, is ending effective 4.1.2015.
