Illinois: New Local Tax Rates, April 2015

The City of Rockford, Illinois, is the third most popular city in the state. Effective April 1, 2015, the city will impose a 1% municipal automobile renting occupation and use tax.
According to an Illinois Department of Revenue informational bulletin, the new combined rate for Rockford will be 6%:
- 1% municipal automobile renting occupation and use tax
- 5% state automobile renting occupation and use tax
The tax should be reported on Form ART-1.
