Virginia: Sales Tax Holiday to Include Certain Light Bulbs
- Mar 13, 2015 | Gail Cole
Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) of Virginia has signed legislation adding certain light bulbs to the list of products qualifying for the state’s annual Energy Star and WaterSense sales tax holiday. Under current law, only Energy Star compact fluorescent light bulbs qualify.
Effective July 1, 2015, all Energy Star-labeled light bulbs will qualify for the sales and use tax exemption during the annual sales tax holiday. See HB 1345 for additional details.
