Wyoming Extends Exemption for Repair of Rolling Stock

 A Wyoming sunset.

Lawmakers in Wyoming have pushed back the sunset date of the sales and use tax exemption on the repair of rolling stock. Previously set to expire on July 1, 2015, the date has now been extended to July 1, 2021.

The exemption applies to sales of “tangible personal property or services performed for the repair, assembly, alteration or improvement of railroad rolling stock.” See Wyoming HB 0025, Enrolled Act No. 76, for additional details.
