Florida: Local Surtax Extended

 Putnam County's local surtax has been extended.

The local government infrastructure surtax in Putnam County, Florida, was set to expire on December 17, 2017. Taking the proverbial bull by the horns, the Putnam County Board of County Commissioners has extended the local surtax through December 31, 2032.

In Florida Department of Revenue suggests taxpayers check the Common Sales Tax Brackets charts on its website, which “help dealers accurately compute tax due on sales between whole dollar amounts, which cannot be calculated on a straight percentage basis.”
