The Kansas Department of Revenue is working to simplify transient guest tax reporting. As a result, numerous changes are under way.

Past

Not all local tax jurisdictions in Kansas impose a transient guest tax. For a list of those that do, along with local codes, rates and effective dates, please click here.

Present

The Kansas Transient Guest Tax Return (TG-1), for the June 2015 return and beyond, is smaller and less complicated than the old return. Look on the back of the form for a (short) list of deductions.
