- Jul 8, 2015 | Gail Cole

Louisiana House Bill 503, which took effect July 1, 2015, authorizes the town of Jonesville to levy and collect a sales and use tax to generate revenue for the hardsurfacing, rehabilitation, and resurfacing of streets located within the corporate limits of Jonesville.
Such a tax may not exceed 1% within the corporate limits of town and must be approved by a majority of voters. Once approved, “The tax shall be imposed for not more than nine years.”
