Vermont Tobacco Tax Rate Increase, July 2015

Lawmakers in Vermont have approved a cigarette tax rate increase as part of a larger health care package.
Effective today, July 1, 2015, rates are as follows:
- Cigarettes: $3.08 per package (increase of 33 cents)
- Smokeless tobacco: $2.57 per ounce or $3.08 per package of less than 1.2 ounces
- Snuff: $2.57 per ounce
